A story I’ll never forget…
There was a man named Jackson, he was swamped and never paid attention to his family that much, especially his wife. She suffered from postpartum depression after the birth of their first child, Gabriel. But it has gotten worse since the arrival of their second child, Mike. Jackson didn't care much about his wife as he didn't believe there was such an illness so he just asked her to be positive.
One day... he got to know that she had to be admitted to the hospital for a few weeks. He was very worried not about his wife but his work. He was scared that he wouldn't get his salary on time and he feared that people might look down on him as he had to do all the housework.
It was one sunny day when he brought both of his kids to the playground. They were happily playing, and out of nowhere his elder son who was not more than three years old said something life-changing. He could still remember his exact words “ Daddy… all of us make our own choices and we experience the results of it”. Jackson started analyzing the toddler's words and realized how ignorant he was towards his family members. But one question kept dwelling in his mind… how did a THREE YEAR OLD tell something with such a deep meaning.
Soon enough his wife got discharged and was free from depression. Many many years passed by… they were all living happily but Jackson still couldn't find the answer to his doubt.
On his deathbed, he realized that in Greek, Gabriel translates to ‘the messenger of God. And many years ago, on September 19th, he was.
